hopping centers continued to dominate South Florida's retail landscape, with Publix leading the way. In the past year, the top 10 retail deals totaled $556 million, up from $490 million in 2023. The largest sales represented 2.1 million square feet of retail space, averaging around $340 per square foot.

    Publix accounted for two purchases, spending a total of $110 million on shopping centers anchored by its stores in Coral Springs and Davie. Here are the top retail sales in South Florida this year:

    Benderson Development sold Shops at Midtown Miami to a New York-based firm led by Randy Benderson for $83.7 million, or roughly $241 per square foot.

    $70M | Plantation | Pine Tree

    Pine Tree acquired The Fountains, a three-building shopping center in Plantation anchored by Kohl's and Dick's Sporting Goods, for $70 million, averaging $160 per square foot.

    $62M | Miami | IMC Equity Group

    IMC Equity Group bought Miracle Marketplace, a six-story retail building in Miami, for $62 million, or $252 per square foot.

    $59M | Coral Springs | Publix

    Publix purchased Ramblewood Square Shopping Center in Coral Springs for $58.5 million, averaging $370 per square foot.

    $51M | Davie | Publix

    Publix expanded its portfolio by buying Davie Shopping Center, anchored by a Publix store, for $50.7 million, or $444 per square foot.

    $49M | Fort Lauderdale | BH Group, Pebb Enterprises and Related Group
