South OC mansion sale sets new record with $24 million price tag

Dana Point's 13,800-sq-ft mansion sells for $24.15 million, a record price in south Orange County this year.

A
13,800-square-foot estate in Dana Point has sold for a record-breaking $24.15 million, making it the highest-priced home sale in south Orange County this year. The nine-bedroom, 12-bath mansion, located at 9 Oceanfront Lane within the gated Strand at Headlands, boasts stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island.

Built in 2019 by Newport Beach architect Chris Light, the three-story property seamlessly blends classic and modern elements. Its impressive features include a dual staircase, bar, game room, home office, home theater, sauna, maid/guest quarters, and beach access. The outdoor space is equally impressive, with an infinity pool, fire pit, bocce lawn, grotto, and waterfalls.

The sale was facilitated by brokers Arlen Raubac and Jenni Nakhjavani of Compass, who represented the seller, while Christopher Sirianni of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer. This is not the first time 9 Oceanfront Lane has changed hands, as Raubach previously sold the property for $20 million in 2021.

The recent sale may face a challenge from Gordon Crawford's cliffside home in Dana Point's exclusive Monarch Bay, which was relisted for $39 million in September.
