Fort Lauderdale car dealer has sold his sprawling Southwest Ranches estate for $14.5 million, as luxury home prices continue to rise in the affluent Broward County suburb. The property at 5875 Southwest 128th Avenue was purchased by Family Foundation Trust, with attorney N. Gresham Foster representing the buyer. However, the true identity of the buyer remains unknown.
Steven Jensen, president of Lipton Toyota, and his wife Damaris bought the estate for $1.2 million in 2016 and completed its construction in 2019. The 15,700-square-foot mansion boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a pool, sport court, theater, wine room, and detached guest house.
The Jensens had listed the property on-and-off over several years, initially for $10 million in 2020, before relisting it for $16 million last October. The final sale price falls short of the record $22.5 million paid by cargo airline founder Alfonso C. Rey for a mansion in Southwest Ranches last year.
Southwest Ranches has become a hotspot for high-profile luxury buyers seeking larger estates with privacy and proximity to desirable schools. Recent sales include Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen's 7.5-acre estate purchase for $9 million, former basketball star John Wall's $9.8 million mansion buy, and baseball player Eric Hosmer's sale of a European-style chateau-inspired spec mansion for $15.5 million in May.
