n Oct. 6, 2025, Texas A&M announced a $220 million Biology Teaching and Research Building for its College Station campus. The four‑story, 184,651‑sq‑ft structure will feature four lecture classrooms, a Science Peer Learning Center, and modular labs for biological resilience, synthetic biology, evolution, regeneration, repair, and timing. Additional spaces include open labs, procedure rooms, microscopy suites, cold/freezer storage, autoclave and glass‑wash areas, a fly kitchen, and a vivarium with holding and sterilization facilities. Offices, workstations, computational labs, meeting rooms, three elevators, a mechanical penthouse, fire protection, and communications systems are also planned. Construction is slated to start late 2026.
