t this year's CES, formerly known as the Consumer Electronics Show, exhibitors showcased cutting-edge technology innovations that could significantly impact real estate. From smart home devices to artificial intelligence-powered gadgets, several products caught attention for their potential implications on the industry.
One of the most notable debuts was Halliday's XR smart glasses, which feature a 3.5-inch DigiWindow projection display and AI tools that can flash fact-checked information or propose answers to questions. The glasses also include speakers for taking phone calls and can translate 40 different languages in real-time. They are set to be available later this quarter for under $500.
Dell's Pro 14 Premium laptop, a REALTOR Benefits partner, earned recognition at CES for its artificial intelligence tools, including a dedicated Copilot key. The ultra-portable device boasts a battery life of 21 hours and features a tandem OLED display for personal and professional use.
Lenovo also showcased several new laptops, including the AI Now, which offers a personalized AI assistant that can summarize documents and assist with everyday workflow tasks. Additionally, Lenovo debuted the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, a laptop with a rollable screen that can extend vertically at the touch of a button or hand gesture.
Other notable products include Swippitt's instant phone charger, Samsung's 4-Door Refrigerator with AI Home and AI Vision Inside 2.0, which can automatically recognize and track food items, and the AI Plant Box, a home-farming appliance that uses an integrated camera with AI control for plant monitoring and growing.
Robots also made a significant appearance at CES, including Yarbo, a modular robot designed to autonomously maintain yards and outdoor spaces, and Lemmy, a companion care robot for seniors living independently. The robots can be controlled through mobile apps and offer various features such as lawn mowing, leaf blowing, and snow plowing.
The event also saw the introduction of sleeker screens, including transparent and hologram-like displays that could redesign home living rooms and theater rooms. LG showcased its 77-inch 4K OLED Zero Connect Wallpaper TV, a CES Innovation Award honoree, which can blend into the wall without visible wires.
Other notable products include Garmin's inReach Messenger Plus, an SOS satellite communicator that allows users to call for help in emergency situations, even when out of cell service range. The device offers two-way texting and location sharing and can send alerts to a 24/7 staffed international emergency assistance coordination center.
Lastly, pet tech innovations were also highlighted at CES, including Pawport's high-tech security door that can retrofit existing pet doors with Bluetooth-enabled devices that allow for remote or voice control.
