hoebe Grier, now 18, made a profit of $39,500 by flipping a house during her high school summer break. She used a hard-money loan and received financial help from her father and a private investor. The project was a huge success, with the house selling in just 24 hours for $390,000.
Grier's passion for design and houses began at a young age. She collected cardboard boxes to build a house within her own home when she was in third grade. Her parents' involvement in real estate also inspired her to pursue flipping houses. With her dad's help, Grier created an LLC called Phoebe Flips and secured a hard-money loan through Backflip.
The renovation process was both challenging and rewarding for Grier. She had hoped to spend around $45,000 on the project, but it ended up costing more than expected. However, the end result was worth it – the house sold quickly and for a significant profit. Grier used some of the money to buy a car, donate to her church, and save for college.
Grier's experience flipping a house at 16 was not without its challenges. Some people doubted her ability to succeed in such a complex project, but she persevered with the support of her parents and a private investor. Her hard work paid off, and she is now planning to attend Taylor University in the fall to study business and minor in either entrepreneurship or Spanish.
