Texas-based real estate executive was fatally shot by a buffalo while on a hunting safari in South Africa. Asher Watkins, managing partner of Watkins Ranch Group, was killed in the Limpopo Province with Coenraad Vermaak Safaris. The attack was described as "sudden and unprovoked" by Hans Vermaak, CEO of the safari company. Watkins was tracking the buffalo with a professional hunter and tracker when the incident occurred.
The safari company has chosen not to release further details about the incident due to its devastating nature. However, they will continue to support Watkins' family in the coming days and weeks.
