ongtime Texas Realtors Executive VP Mike Barnett will take over as CEO on April 1, succeeding Travis Kessler who announced his retirement plans. Barnett has spent a dozen years as EVP and brings 18 years of experience to the role. Kessler praised Barnett's expertise in legislative affairs, strategic planning, and financial management.
Andrew Shock, former eXp leader, has been appointed VP of operations at Fathom Realty, a North Carolina-based brokerage company with over 14,500 agents nationwide. Shock has more than two decades of experience in operational management, residential and commercial transactions, corporate sales, and new home developments.
The Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) has announced its 2025 board of directors, including election winners and director-appointed members from various entities. Rebecca Jensen, president and CEO of Midwest Real Estate Data, will continue as chair. The board also elected John Breault, VP of MLS with State-Wide MLS in Rhode Island, and Greg Moore, CTO for Regional Multiple Listing Service (RMLS) in Oregon.
Fathom Realty has made several leadership changes to accelerate its growth goals. Andrew Shock's appointment as VP of operations allows DeJane Kerr to focus on brokerage compliance. The company also promoted Samantha Giuggio from COO of Fathom Realty to the dual role of COO of Fathom Holdings and president of Fathom Realty, and moved Jon Gwin to the newly created role of chief revenue officer.
