Tom Brady's Former Boston Bachelor Pad Sells for $8.4 Million

Renovated Back Bay Residence Features Three Bedrooms and 3½ Bathrooms.

A
historic Gothic Revival building in Boston's Back Bay has sold for $8.4 million, more than double the price Tom Brady paid for it 18 years ago. The three-bedroom condo, located at 314 Commonwealth Ave., was Brady's good-luck charm during his successful stint with the New England Patriots from 2004 to 2008.

The Burrage Mansion, a turn-of-the-century building now divided into four units, boasts Gothic Revival style features like gargoyles, copper details, and intricate wood carvings. The condo still retains Brady's "trophy room," although the trophies are gone.

Compass broker Ethan Goodrich, who represented the anonymous buyer, called the building "one of a kind in Boston." He noted that Brady's connection to the residence makes it special, given his success during his time there. Brady won seven Super Bowls and is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time.

The 3,422-square-foot condo features an open living and dining area, a chef's kitchen with marble counters, and a main bedroom suite with a walk-in closet and marble bath. The renovation last year included three handsome fireplaces, marble and hardwood floors throughout, hidden ceiling speakers, and private storage.

Brady sold the condo for $5.28 million in 2008, after paying $4.12 million for it in 2004. He has since become a successful entrepreneur, teaming up with The Good Kitchen to create a line of TB12 Performance Meals and launching a vegan snack line that reportedly sold out within hours.
