om Cruise's luxury penthouse in Clearwater, Florida, has emerged unscathed from Hurricane Milton, which had been predicted to be catastrophic. The storm, initially forecasted as a Category 5, ultimately spared the actor's multimillion-dollar property. According to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the hurricane weakened just before landfall, easing concerns.
Photos show Cruise's penthouse, located near the Church of Scientology's international headquarters, with no visible damage after the storm passed. The sprawling 20,000-square-foot condo features two floors of luxury, including a rooftop lap pool, private car elevator, and flight simulator.
The actor was in London when the hurricane hit, having been spotted arriving in the UK looking concerned just a day before Milton made landfall. Cruise's Clearwater home is part of the SkyView complex, which was initially planned to offer more affordable units but ultimately became home to his deluxe penthouse.
While Cruise's property and the Scientology headquarters emerged unscathed, other residents were not as fortunate. The Church of Scientology emphasized its preparedness in a statement, saying it had completed all preparations to secure staff, parishioners, and neighbors before the hurricane hit.
Cruise's move to Clearwater was part of a significant shift in his real estate portfolio, which included offloading several high-profile properties in the years leading up to his relocation. His penthouse is just one of many luxury homes he has owned over the years, including a New York City townhouse and a sprawling Colorado estate.
