n April, the most expensive home sales in the US were dominated by beachfront properties in Florida. A trio of neighboring estates in Naples, FL topped the list, with one selling for a record $133 million. Six of the top 10 sales were in coastal Florida, while two luxury condos on Billionaires' Row in Manhattan rounded out the list.
Half of April's highest-priced home sales exceeded $50 million, and all fetched at least $40 million. Despite increasing risks from climate-driven disasters, waterfront properties in Florida remain a magnet for ultra-wealthy buyers who can afford to renovate or rebuild if needed.
The top 10 most expensive US home sales in April were:
* 2200 Gordon Dr., Naples, FL: Sold for $133.2 million
* 88 La Gorce Cir., Miami Beach, FL: Sold for $74.3 million
* 1028 Ridgedale Dr., Beverly Hills, CA: Sold for $60 million
* 942 Alpine Dr., Beverly Hills, CA: Sold for $51.8 million
* 516 S. Ocean Blvd., Palm Beach, FL: Sold for $51.4 million
