espite the impending presidential election, Central Jersey homebuyers remained unfazed in October as homes continued to fly off the market. In Somerset County, a cutting-edge $3.4 million Bernardsville mansion sold for nearly half its original price after a year on the market. The 5-acre estate boasts smart home technology, a floating staircase, and a wine cellar.
In Middlesex County, a stately South Brunswick estate with a karaoke stage fetched $1.74 million. The 2-acre property features four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and an entertainment-focused basement with a gym, yoga studio, and bar. After several sales fell through, the home sold for $50,000 less than its original listing price.
In Hunterdon County, a rustic respite in Clinton Township with pond views and gardens sold for $1.325 million. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home features a family room with cathedral ceilings and a finished basement with a wet bar and wine cellar. After several price reductions, the home fetched nearly its original asking price.
In Union County, a Summit home that blends old and new charm sold for $5.35 million. The classic blue facade boasts modern upgrades, including a marble kitchen and bathrooms, as well as several home offices and a custom wine cellar. With its mix of history and modernity, it's no surprise the mansion sold for nearly double what it last sold for 14 years ago.
