he Trump Organization has leased its brand to two new real estate projects in Saudi Arabia, just weeks before President Donald Trump's return to the White House. The company will partner with Dar Global, a London-based luxury developer that will fully own and develop the projects in Riyadh.
Eric Trump, the president-elect's son who oversees the company's real estate interests, said they are "thrilled" to announce these new ventures, following previous successes in Oman, Dubai, and Jeddah. The partnership with Dar Global is not a new one; they have collaborated on other projects in the region, including a golf resort in Oman.
This deal marks another licensing agreement for Trump's company overseas, which has struck deals in Canada, Dubai, Mexico, India, and Turkey before Trump took office in 2017. However, his close ties to Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, have drawn criticism, particularly after the killing of Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.
Dar Global is the international arm of a large Saudi developer with $7.5 billion worth of projects under development across several countries, including the UAE, Oman, Qatar, the UK, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.
