Trump Reveals Receipt of Millions from Saudi Real Estate Investor

Trump Organization's earnings from Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan revealed in president's latest disclosure.

D
onald Trump's family real estate firm, the Trump Organization, has been on a deal-making spree since his re-election in November. The company has launched and struck deals for luxury residential skyscrapers and golf clubs in several foreign countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Oman.

A publicly traded Saudi real estate developer, Dar Al Arkan, has paid the Trump Organization $21.9 million in license fees in 2024 alone, on top of $5.35 million paid between 2021 and 2022 for licensing the Trump name for a hotel, golf club, and villa complex in Oman. This brings Forbes' estimate of Trump's total earnings from Dar Al Arkan to over $27 million since 2021.

Dar Al Arkan's chairman, Yousef Al Shelash, has cultivated a close relationship with the Trump family, calling it a "friendship." Eric Trump referred to him as "a member of the Trump family and somebody I truly love dearly" at the launch event for the Trump Tower Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The company is working on at least six projects with the Trump Organization across several countries.

The Trump Organization is also pursuing deals elsewhere in Asia, including a $1.5 billion golf and residential project in Vietnam in partnership with Hung Yen Hospitality. Eric Trump attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the development, which will cost $1.5 billion to build over four years. The president's company received $5 million in licensing fees from Hung Yen in 2024.

Trump is likely set to receive millions more in licensing and management fees from his firm's projects over the rest of his second term as president. However, not all of the Trump family's international dealings are proceeding smoothly, with a luxury hotel development in Belgrade facing uncertainty due to a forged document used to help the project move forward.
