resident-elect Donald Trump's Indian business partners will attend his inauguration on Monday. Kalpesh Mehta, founder of Tribeca Developers, and Pankaj Bansal, director of M3M, are among those attending. They have been involved in several high-profile projects with the Trump Organization in India.
Mehta recently met Eric Trump at Mar-a-Lago, where they discussed new Indian projects. "Deal announcements coming soon!" Mehta tweeted. Bansal also expressed his excitement about meeting Donald Trump Jr again in Washington DC, saying it's a "fantastic growth story" since their first meeting in 2017.
India is a key market for the Trump Organization's real estate business outside of the US. The country will likely see the most number of Trump Towers, with plans to build up to 10 towers in various cities over the next five years. These projects include residential high-rises, office spaces, golf courses, and villas.
Mehta has a personal connection with the Trump family, having met Donald Trump Jr at Wharton University where they both studied. Mehta's initial meeting with Trump Jr led to their partnership on several Indian projects, with Trump's advice being to focus on quality over quantity.
