ct 17, 2025 – Austin. In September, the Texas Transportation Commission approved over $590 million for highway contracts and $64 million for airport grants. Lubbock received $44.4 million for Reese Airpark upgrades. Kelly Field got $7.1 million; Fort Worth Spinks Airport $3.6 million for taxiway work. A.L. Mangham Jr. Regional Airport was awarded $6 million for pavement repairs, Victoria Regional Airport $2.8 million for engineering and design, and Hereford Municipal Airport $400 k for a layout plan. The commission also approved $590 million for 75 highway improvement projects, $41 million for 24 maintenance projects, and $2.7 million for a building construction and rehabilitation project in Jefferson County.
