ulip Real Estate has acquired the five-star Hilton London Syon Park in the UK for approximately £30m ($40.68m), marking a significant move into luxury hospitality. The 137-key property, situated within the historic 200-acre Syon Park Estate near Brentford, was previously rebranded as a deluxe Hilton in 2019 after launching as a Waldorf Astoria for the 2012 London Olympics.
The acquisition includes the hotel as part of a four-property portfolio from American investment fund Lone Star. Hudson managed the asset during the transitional phase before Tulip Real Estate took over as the new owner. This transaction highlights Tulip's growing interest in premium investments and its focus on preserving UK heritage properties.
As a company with a track record of refurbishing derelict sites, merging historic preservation with contemporary luxury, Tulip has owned several historic hotels, including the nearly 300-year-old Warbrook House Heritage Hotel and the almost 400-year-old Whately Hall Hotel. The Hilton property acquisition marks Tulip's first major hotel partnership in the UK, conducted through a joint venture with Countrywide Hotels, which will oversee operational management of the property.
