T
he Downtown Natchez Alliance recently launched a "one-stop-shop" for downtown real estate information, particularly commercial properties. The online platform, Downtown Doorway, provides detailed descriptions and listings of available properties, open to both real estate agencies and property owners.
At the "Downtown Unlocked" real estate showcase, Liz Dantone, DNA board member and retired architect, emphasized that the site is not a competitor to realtors but rather an additional resource for showcasing properties. The platform aims to increase awareness about downtown opportunities and encourage people to explore the area's potential.
A 2024 Retail Market Analysis highlighted areas where Natchez experiences "retail leakage," with dollars spent outside of town on items like home furnishings, clothing, and groceries. Dantone invited stakeholders to consider these business opportunities while touring available retail spaces during the showcase event.
