enice, Fla. – A 59‑year‑old woman, Andrea L. Moss, faces third‑degree felony charges in Sarasota County for grand theft from a senior and unlicensed real‑estate activity. Investigators say she posed as a realtor and took $6,200 from an out‑of‑state couple who rented a Siesta Key condo in 2022. The property owner revoked her leasing authority in September 2022, yet Moss deposited the money into her personal account and failed to refund the couple. The victims incurred an extra $11,000 for alternative housing. An arrest warrant was issued July 2, 2025, and charges filed September 19, 2025; the case is still pending. The Sarasota County prosecutor’s office brought the case, and the couple had to pay for temporary lodging during the investigation in addition today.
