erada has secured a 10-year lease with Acme Smoked Fish for the entire third floor of its 1 Wythe Avenue building, which spans 18,000 square feet. The building is situated on the border of Williamsburg and Greenpoint. This deal marks another significant tenant for Verada's property, following Brooklyn Brewery's two-year-old lease for three floors and outdoor space.
The presence of Brooklyn Brewery was a key factor in securing Acme Smoked Fish as a tenant, according to Nathaniel Mallon, managing partner at Verada. "Having Brooklyn Brewery on board filled the light manufacturing space, which was crucial in planning the building," he said. The construction of 1 Wythe Avenue is nearing completion and is expected to top out soon.
Acme Smoked Fish plans to move in during the spring. Mallon attributed the lengthy construction process to local environmental issues that required soil testing and replacement. He also noted a growing demand for office space in Brooklyn, driven by companies wanting to stay close to their employees who live in the borough.
