aftali Group has secured its first major retail tenant at Williamsburg Wharf, a 3.75-acre residential complex on the East River waterfront. Eyal Shani's Good People Group will open a 4,000 square-foot restaurant later this year on Kent Avenue.

    Shani, a renowned chef from Jerusalem, is known for his other New York City eateries, including HaSalon on 10th Avenue and Port Sa'id on Hudson Street. His Williamsburg Wharf venue will introduce an entirely new concept, details of which have not been disclosed.

    Naftali Group's portfolio also includes several Manhattan projects, such as the condo towers at 200 East 83rd Street and The Benson.
