arine Supply of Winter Haven, a trusted name in the region's boating community for over 70 years, has been acquired by a group of local investors led by John Saterbo, Tom Kersting, and Jeff Donalson of Thomas Capital. Founded by Richard Emry and Tricia Gurr, Marine Supply earned a loyal customer base through exceptional service, industry knowledge, and support for recreational and commercial boaters.
With retirement on the horizon, Emry and Gurr sought a buyer who would preserve their business's legacy and commitment to the community. Viking Mergers & Acquisitions facilitated the transaction, led by Partner Larry "Tripp" Lawson III and Senior Advisor Jacob Middleton. The buyers plan to retain existing staff, continue serving customers without disruption, and invest in enhancing the area around the lake.
"We were impressed with Tripp and Jacob's professionalism, responsiveness, and efficiency," said Kersting. "They made this process seamless." Marine Supply is poised to continue serving the local marine community under new ownership, with strategic investment and thoughtful stewardship from Thomas Capital.
Viking Mergers & Acquisitions provides M&A services to small and middle-market business owners. With over 900 successful sales and an 85% close rate, Viking has established itself as a leading advisory firm in the southeast U.S. Visit their website for more information or to request a confidential business valuation.
