Zillow executive leadership undergoes change with COO appointment

President Susan Daimler departs after 12 years; SVP Jun Choo assumes new role in C-suite.

illow has announced key leadership changes, including the departure of President Susan Daimler after 12 years with the company. Daimler joined Zillow in 2012 when it acquired her startup Buyfolio, which she founded in 2006. She went on to lead various teams within the company before becoming president in 2021. During her tenure, she was a prominent voice for Zillow and was recognized as one of the most influential leaders in residential real estate.

    Susan Daimler's husband, Matt, also resigned from his position as senior vice president of product. In a statement, Susan expressed gratitude for her time at Zillow and excitement for their next adventure. CEO Jeremy Wacksman praised both Daimlers for their contributions to the company's growth and success.

    Jun Choo has been promoted to chief operating officer, filling the role vacated by Wacksman. Choo joined Zillow in 2015 through its acquisition of Trulia and has overseen various B2B products, including Zillow Premier Agent sales and ShowingTime. In his new role, he will drive Zillow's business strategy and operations.

    Wacksman praised Choo for his instrumental leadership and ability to create innovative solutions across the company. Susan Daimler also expressed her support for Choo's promotion, saying they are excited to see him in this new role. Choo stated that he is honored to continue supporting the company's growth and investing in new solutions to modernize the real estate experience through Zillow's housing super app.

    Additionally, Christopher Roberts will take over leadership of the product organization. Roberts has been an early employee at the company, joining in 2006, and currently leads the rentals division.
