blackprintpartners GmbH, a platform specialising in innovation and networking for the construction and real estate sector based in Frankfurt am Main, organised the largest innovation show in the European construction and real estate industry for the sixth time in 2026. The so-called REAL Pitches were once again held physically on two stages at the Real Estate Arena (REA) in Hanover. The specialist event serves to systematically connect innovation drivers with established companies in the industry. An event app, accessible to all REA visitors, was used for this purpose.
Through the REAL Pitches and blackprint’s PropTech Area, which spans over 200 metres, the Real Estate Arena has established itself as a matchmaking event for innovations in the construction and building sector. The event provides transparency regarding existing solution providers and facilitates networking between innovative companies and established players. Within this framework, 214 PropTechs participating in the matchmaking were brought together with decision-makers from the construction and real estate industry. This took place across eleven different value chain stages.
The PropTech Germany Award 2026 and its Nominees
The REAL Pitches also serve as a preliminary round for the annual PropTech Germany Award. An expert jury, consisting of 51 specialists from the fields of construction, real estate, finance, and venture capital, evaluated the nominees for this significant innovation award. The evaluation was based on eleven transparent criteria covering the entire real estate life cycle. The nominees represent various segments of the real estate industry.
Ms Orla Nolan, COO and Managing Partner at blackprint, commented on the development of the REAL Pitches, which she has overseen since their inception. She highlighted the event's consistency over six years and emphasised the enthusiasm consistently generated by the presentation of innovative and groundbreaking solutions on stage. She was particularly impressed by the broad range of solutions offered by PropTechs for pressing issues in the sector. According to Nolan, all nominees share the goal of establishing a sustainably future-proof construction and real estate sector. She underscored the collaborative effort of the industry in this regard and expressed her pride in what has been achieved, as well as her anticipation for the jury’s decisions in September.

The announcement of the winners in the eleven value chain categories, as well as the overall winner of the PropTech Germany Award 2026, is scheduled for 9 September 2026 in Frankfurt am Main. A special feature of this year's competition is the integration of a public vote, which will contribute to determining the winners.
