Kesseböhmer Beschlagsysteme GmbH & Co. KG, an internationally active family-owned metalworking company headquartered in Bad Essen, has commissioned Piepenbrock to provide extensive inspection services for electrical operating equipment. These services include the inspection of all electrical machinery as well as portable appliances. The contract was extended to include the inspection of EV charging stations, which represents an additional service.

Piepenbrock took over these tasks from January 2026. A preceding trial inspection of several machines in October 2025 had strengthened the conviction of those responsible at Kesseböhmer. The commission includes inspections in both the administrative areas and the company's production facilities.

Between mid-January and the end of June, Piepenbrock technicians inspected approximately 600 machines in various production areas. These included pillar drills, lathes and straightening machines, robots, air conditioning units, and machines for electroplating applications. For the latter, which apply a thin layer of metal to workpieces using electrical current, close coordination regarding lead times between the partners involved was necessary due to the process sensitivity and the need for uninterrupted surface coating.

The inspection of portable appliances in the administration department was also carried out by Piepenbrock in January. The decision to have the EV charging stations also checked by the facilities services provider's inspection technicians further extended the scope of services.

Sebastian Sommer, Branch Manager for Inspection Services at Piepenbrock, highlighted that the electrical inspections in various areas contribute to the smooth operation of Kesseböhmer's business. He emphasised that this ensures employee safety and can reduce outages. Christoph Eikenhorst, responsible for Maintenance and Electrics at Kesseböhmer Beschlagsysteme GmbH & Co. KG, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, which meets the requirements for production and business process safety and covers multiple inspection areas. The cooperation so far is described as constructive, with David Sabellek, Team Leader for Inspection Services at Piepenbrock, emphasising the open and honest communication between those responsible and seeing potential for further development of the collaboration.
