The Savaya Group, operator of Savaya Bali – which is listed as Asia's leading club and fifth best worldwide in DJ Mag's "Top 100 Clubs 2026" – announces the opening of its new beach resort, "Zumana." Located at Sunset Bay in Kuta, one of Bali's most prominent coastal stretches, the project marks a development milestone for both the region and the company.
Opened on 19th August, "Zumana" spans an area of 35,000 square feet and was designed by the internationally renowned architecture and design firm, Rockwell Group. It integrates various elements such as music, art, gastronomy, and design. At the heart of the resort is the ten-metre-tall sculpture "Zenía" by multidisciplinary artist Daniel Popper, which forms the focal point of the open-air performance area. The resort's atmosphere is designed to transition from relaxed afternoons and sunset gatherings to evening performances, with facilities such as beach beds, pool areas, bars, and an open-air dance floor.
Strategic Importance and Local Roots
Nadia Tjahyadikarta, Chairperson of the KAJA Group, spoke of the company's personal connection with Bali and its people. She highlighted Kuta's historical role and emphasised the company's belief in a successful new chapter for the region. "Zumana" was conceived from the ground up for this coastline, uniting Indonesian spirit with a global perspective in design, music, art, and hospitality. Mrs Tjahyadikarta further stated that they are proud to contribute to the development of one of Bali's most well-known destinations.
Alex Cordova, Managing Director of the Savaya Group, also underscored his belief in Bali, its people, and the culture that makes the island unique. Kuta originally brought Bali to global prominence and now offers the opportunity to open a new chapter. With "Zumana," they aim to be part of this revitalisation, honouring the spirit and energy of Kuta while creating something relevant for today's Bali and for the coming generation.
Opening Celebrations and Programme
The official opening weekend of "Zumana" will take place on 25th and 26th September. The Martinez Brothers will headline on Friday, followed by a live performance from Satori on Saturday. This weekend celebrates a musical identity focused on an international programme and the fluid transition from sunset to night. "Zumana" at Sunset Bay Kuta will commence daily operations from 19th August.
