TSCG, a brokerage firm active in retail, has announced significant personnel changes within its leadership. Susan Ahlheit will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from 1st January 2027. She succeeds Bob Wordes, who is retiring after 20 years with the company. Ahlheit previously served as Executive Managing Director of Operations.
Also promoted was David Huntley, who will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the entire company. He had previously held this position for various business units of TSCG, including TSCG Investors and TSCG Property Management. These appointments represent a strategic reorganisation in the company's leadership.
Long-standing tenure and experience
Bob Wordes looks back on two decades at TSCG. Susan Ahlheit has been with the company since 1995, and David Huntley since 2001. Their many years of experience within the firm are intended to ensure a smooth handover and continuity in operational and financial processes. Ahlheit emphasised that she had the opportunity to grow with TSCG for over three decades and to learn from Wordes for 20 of those years. She highlighted the strength of the operational foundation that has been built and stated that her focus is on providing all TSCG employees with the necessary resources to optimally serve clients.
Both Susan Ahlheit and David Huntley will report directly to Sam Latone, who, along with David Birnbrey, serves as Co-CEO of the Atlanta-based firm. These promotions follow a period of leadership changes at TSCG. In May of this year, Nichole Popovics was appointed President, after Sam Latone moved up to Co-CEO.
Strategic alignment of the finance function
David Huntley commented on his new role, stating that as head of finance for Property Management and TSCG Investors, he had seen firsthand how corporate decisions affect daily operations in the offices. As CFO, his goal will be to maintain a close connection with the employees affected by these decisions and to build relationships across all 20 offices. This is to ensure that the finance function supports everyone who does the actual work. His task will include managing the finances for the entire firm.
