WILMA Immobilien-Gruppe, Bavaria Region, began the realisation of the "Seilerbrücklwiesen" project on the formerly agricultural "Seilerbrücklwiesen" site on Münchner Straße in Freising. The undertaking spans a plot of approximately 24,000 square metres. In the first of a total of four planned construction phases, 28 residential units will be realised, including ten townhouses and 18 condominiums. The official groundbreaking ceremony took place on 25 June 2026, attended by Monika Riesch, Mayor of the City of Freising, and Michael Nagel, Managing Director (CEO) of WILMA Immobilien GmbH and WILMA BP Freising GmbH, along with other project stakeholders and invited guests.
Mayor Monika Riesch expressed her positive views on the collaboration with WILMA Immobilien-Gruppe and emphasised that the groundbreaking of the "Seilerbrücklwiesen" would help to address the high demand for affordable housing in the Freising district in a timely manner. Michael Nagel, Managing Director of WILMA Immobilien-Gruppe, highlighted that with construction commencing in April and the groundbreaking ceremony held in June, the project development is now progressing swiftly.
Location and Concept of the Residential Project
The project is located on the outskirts of Freising and directly borders an established residential area. Its special location is characterised by its immediate proximity to the natural landscape of the Isar floodplains, which includes a regional green corridor. The development aims to integrate this Isar floodplain green corridor deeply into the emerging residential area and make it accessible. This allows residents a special connection to nature while also providing excellent infrastructure.
In addition to the variety of house types and apartment sizes, the project benefits from quick access to Freising city centre and the Bavarian capital, Munich. The combination of a green location and excellent infrastructure underscores the attractiveness of the site. The sales launch for the first construction phase was successful: already half of the planned townhouses and approximately 40 per cent of all condominiums have been sold to buyers. This signals strong market acceptance and underlines the demand for housing in this region.
