1000 Satellites GmbH, a provider of flex office solutions, has entered the Berlin market with the 'Satellit Chaussee'. The new location at Chausseestraße 117 in Mitte serves as the company's first Berlin property and is designed to provide professional and workplace-compliant working environments. The concept integrates modern infrastructure with a high degree of flexibility and is characterised by its central location.
Gregory von Abendroth, Managing Director of 1000 Satellites GmbH, explained that Berlin represents a significant expansion step for the company. With the 'Satellit Chaussee', the former headquarters of a digital company are being taken over, whilst also creating flexible offerings for other companies and teams. This approach, already successfully implemented in Munich and Mannheim, aims to establish a local satellite office in Berlin-Mitte, tailored to the needs of the local working community.
The total area of the location is approximately 7,000 square metres, spread over six floors. There, 1000 Satellites offers a range of workspace solutions, including private offices, exclusive fully furnished office floors, coworking areas, as well as professional meeting and event spaces. An open community hub on the ground floor serves as a communication centre, complemented by urban terraces and outdoor areas that create additional spaces for work and encounters.
Concept and working environment
The spatial concepts at 'Satellit Chaussee' are flexibly designed to meet the demands of hybrid working models. The focus is on promoting collaboration whilst also providing opportunities for retreat. The facilities include ergonomic furniture, modern media technology, screens, and high-performance infrastructure. The goal is a high quality of stay, which should ease the daily work routine for users. On-site community managers support the users.
Prior to its official opening, 1000 Satellites had already secured established companies for the location. A FinTech company, which was previously a tenant in the building, will continue to be based at 'Satellit Chaussee'. Likewise, PPRO, a provider in the e-commerce sector and former tenant, will continue to use the location. This underscores the attractiveness of the location for companies that value high-quality and flexible working environments.
Location and further expansion
Linda Kontar, Senior Business Manager at 1000 Satellites, highlighted the location advantages. 'Satellit Chaussee' is centrally located in Berlin-Mitte and is only a few minutes from the main station, with good connections to public transport. Despite its central location, the site is quietly situated in the rear courtyard of a historic building, allowing for a concentrated working atmosphere. Its proximity to underground stations, restaurants, and hotels contributes to the location's appeal.
