Metro Properties, the real estate company of METRO AG, has successfully sold two commercial properties in Bischofsheim and Pforzheim. The sales were concluded as two separate transactions. The company was advised on legal matters across both disposal processes by global law firm DLA Piper.
Retail park in Bischofsheim sold to Lugman Capital
In Bischofsheim, Metro Properties sold a retail park to Lugman Capital GmbH. The transaction, completed in the third quarter of 2026, comprises a plot of around 40,000 square metres with a lettable area of approximately 18,000 square metres.
The site benefits from direct access to the A60 motorway and is located approximately 15 minutes by car from Frankfurt Airport. The tenant line-up consists of established brands, with occupiers on site including MediaMarkt, KFC, Roller, and a Jet petrol station.
Fully let centre in Pforzheim sold to regional family office
As part of the second transaction, Metro Properties sold a fully let educational and local convenience centre in Pforzheim. The buyer of the property at Haidachstraße 4-6 is a family office from the local region. The property has a total lettable area of around 8,300 square metres.
The asset features a long-term oriented tenant structure. The City of Pforzheim acts as the school occupier, while the local convenience and retail section is covered by discounters Netto and Action.
At advising law firm DLA Piper, the team was led by Counsel Philip Heinzel-Flothmann. The core team also included Partner Dr Gerold Jaeger and Associate Dr Christian Kleindopff in Düsseldorf, as well as Senior Transaction Specialist Sabrina Becker in Frankfurt.
