The A-ROSA Tegernsee, a 4-star superior hotel, has commenced operations following a ceremonial opening event. DSR Hotel Holding, in collaboration with DERTOUR Group, officially inaugurated the property on Lake Tegernsee. Invited guests at the opening ceremony included representatives from tourism, business, sport, and media, as well as regional stakeholders. The integration of this property expands DSR Hotel Holding's portfolio with a prominent address in one of Germany's leading holiday destinations.
Moritz Dürler, Director of A-ROSA Tegernsee, commented on the significance of this event as a milestone for his team. He emphasised the intention to continue the property's existing history under the A-ROSA brand and to ensure traditional Tegernsee hospitality within a contemporary framework. This relaunch underscores the strategic alignment of both companies involved in the holiday hotel segment.
Strategic Importance and Portfolio Expansion
Christoph Debus, CEO of DERTOUR Group, highlighted the strategic relevance of A-ROSA Tegernsee. He explained that this property intensifies their commitment to the holiday hotel industry in one of Germany's most sought-after locations. Lake Tegernsee is characterised as a destination of first-class tourist quality and high demand. DERTOUR Group intends to sustainably expand its position in this market segment through successful brands like A-ROSA and the partnership with DSR Hotel Holding, thereby generating high-quality holiday experiences.
For DSR Hotel Holding, the opening represents a significant step in its development. Philipp von Czapiewski, CEO of DSR Hotel Holding, stated that the unique combination of nature, indulgence, and recreation at Lake Tegernsee forms an ideal synergy with the A-ROSA brand. He added that the portfolio is being expanded with an alpine destination of significant appeal. The objective is to preserve the individual character of the property in cooperation with the existing team, while simultaneously introducing the strengths of the A-ROSA brand.
During the opening ceremony, Torsten Vey, Vice President Development & Real Estate, and Niklas Griffin, Director Operations of DSR Hotel Holding, provided insights into the integration of the property and the further development of the holiday hotel industry. Other attendees included Christian Kausch, Managing Director of Tegernseer Tal Tourism, and Karl J. Pojer, Senior Advisor of DERTOUR Group. Da Capo Music provided the musical accompaniment.
An expression of commitment to the region was the handover of a mobile ramp constructed from ecological timber to Tegernseer Tal Tourism by A-ROSA Tegernsee and DSR Hotel Holding. This gesture aims to contribute to increasing accessibility in the valley. Moritz Dürler explained that the ramp symbolises the path A-ROSA wishes to take together with local stakeholders and partners in the Tegernsee Valley, to foster dialogue and develop as an integral part of the region.
