Sister companies Buchalik Brömmekamp Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (BBR) and plenovia GmbH, specialising in restructuring and reorganisation consulting and based in Düsseldorf-Heerdt for 25 years, have concluded a ten-year lease agreement for new office premises via Aengevelt. The brokerage was carried out within the scope of an exclusive "Stay versus Go" mandate that Aengevelt had received from the two companies. The new location is in the 'Twin Cubes' at Heerdter Lohweg 53 in Düsseldorf-Heerdt.
The lease agreement was preceded by a comprehensive analysis, during which Aengevelt, together with BBR, plenovia, and workplace consultant "PlanUp", developed a customised working concept. In parallel, alternative locations on the market were examined. The approximately 900 m² of office space now leased is part of the new-build property, whose lessors are Deutsche Rückversicherung AG and VöV Rückversicherung KöR. These companies themselves use approximately 7,000 m² of gross floor area in the complex, which has over 14,000 m² of usable space, for their headquarters.
Modern workplace concepts and location advantages
Dr. Jasper Stahlschmidt, Managing Director of BBR, emphasised the necessity of re-evaluating the workplace concept after 25 years at the previous location. The collaboratively developed, future-proof model optimally reflects space requirements, taking into account modern working methods and a high share-desk ratio. The 'Twin Cubes', as an attractive, modern new-build location in left-bank Düsseldorf, offer a future-oriented setup for the law firm. Andreas Weißelberg, Managing Director of plenovia, highlighted that the new location enables close collaboration between teams, further optimising networked support for clients.
Tobias Prudlo, Head of Real Estate Asset Management at Deutsche Rück and VöV Rück, confirmed that quality prevails even in a selective market environment, and the tenants' decision underscores the attractiveness of the 'Twin Cubes'. The property offers modern office spaces with a clear user orientation. Christoph Mooren, Head of the Commercial Letting Team at Aengevelt Düsseldorf, explained that Aengevelt provided comprehensive advice within the scope of the mandate, negotiating with the previous landlord and exploring alternative locations. The occupancy study and new workplace concept developed jointly with BBR and "PlanUp" led to space efficiency, which formed the economic basis for the move to higher-quality premises. Currently, approximately 3,500 m² of office space are still available in the building.
