Brockhoff has successfully completed the brokerage for the first location of the aGYM fitness chain in North Rhine-Westphalia. CREALIZE, the company responsible for aGYM's expansion, has leased approximately 2,600 square metres of space for this purpose. The property is located in a distinctive corner building at Huyssenallee 100 in Essen. The opening of the fitness studio is scheduled for early 2027.
The property in question was known for many years as the corporate headquarters of VON ESSEN Bank and later Consors Finanz. It is one of the prominent properties along Huyssenallee, one of Essen's most significant traffic arteries. This connects Essen Central Station directly with the Rüttenscheid district and is characterised by high footfall. The location offers aGYM significant visibility.
Location Advantages and Corporate Strategy
Another advantage of the location is the high number of car parking spaces, which is a special feature for the Rüttenscheid district. Jacob Amor Fatih, the founder of aGYM, stated that after the first branch in Berlin, Essen, his hometown, would follow. He emphasised that the location at the beginning of Rüttenscheid fulfils all requirements to realise his high standards for the fitness studio.
Jacob Amor Fatih founded the FitX fitness chain in 2009 and sold it in 2019. With aGYM, he is pursuing the establishment of a new fitness brand that aims for nationwide expansion. The opening of the Essen branch in early 2027 is part of this strategy, with further locations planned in major German cities.
Ongoing Collaboration with CREALIZE
For Brockhoff, the successful brokerage for aGYM represents a continuation of the long-standing collaboration with CREALIZE. Brockhoff had previously provided advisory services for the acquisition of CREALIZE's current company headquarters in Essen's Weststadt and also handled the marketing of the external spaces. This property, the former Oschatz headquarters, comprises approximately 9,530 square metres and has been established on the market as the Weststadt Campus after comprehensive repositioning.
Tobias Altenbeck of Brockhoff noted that accompanying CREALIZE once again was a confirmation. The lease on Huyssenallee underlines the attractiveness of the Essen market for innovative concepts and forward-looking companies.
