KGAL Group has appointed Andreas Trumpp FRICS as its new Head of Research. From 15 September 2026, Mr Trumpp will be responsible for the group's research activities, which encompass the core asset classes of Real Estate, Sustainable Infrastructure, and Aviation. His remit will include further developing the research division and acting as an analytical sparring partner for KGAL's fund and investment teams.
Mr Trumpp possesses over 20 years of expertise in real estate market research and strategic market analysis. Before joining KGAL, he served as Senior Director and Head of Market Intelligence & Foresight at neoshare AG and its subsidiary PTXRE. Prior to that, he led a research team of 20 analysts at Colliers as Managing Director and Head of Market Intelligence & Foresight. From 2015 to 2022, he held the position of Head of Research & Strategy Europe at Savills Investment Management, where he managed an international team.
Importance of sound research in the current market environment
André Zücker, Co-CEO of KGAL, highlighted the significant role of sound research in a market environment that increasingly offers selective opportunities. He emphasised that precise research is essential for identifying key market trends early and making appropriate allocation decisions. Mr Zücker elaborated that Andreas Trumpp's combination of deep research expertise and a keen understanding of institutional investors' requirements is considered particularly valuable for refining KGAL's investment strategies.
Andreas Trumpp stated that he views real assets holistically, as they are shaped by common drivers such as demographics, decarbonisation, digitalisation, geopolitical fragmentation, and security. He articulated his goal of establishing a consistent strategic perspective that differentiates long-term change from cyclical movements and provides guidance for capital allocation. For him, research is not a retrospective analysis but a central decision-making function.
Engagement in the real estate sector and teaching activities
In addition to his professional career, Andreas Trumpp regularly features as a speaker and moderator at specialist real estate events. Since 2016, he has also been active as a lecturer at the ADI Akademie der Immobilienwirtschaft. He volunteers as co-lead of the Real Estate Market Research Competence Group of the gif Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung e. V.
