Apleona, an established provider of integrated facility management in Europe, based in Neu-Isenburg, contractually sealed the acquisition of Andersen & Heegaard A/S on 3 July 2026. This step marks a strategic expansion of Apleona’s European in-house service platform and an intensification of its presence in Northern Europe.
Andersen & Heegaard, a technical services company with a rich tradition dating back to 1828, has its headquarters near Copenhagen. The company employs approximately 600 staff, including 450 qualified technicians, and operates from ten locations in Denmark. Its comprehensive service portfolio includes electrical engineering, plumbing (VVS), fire protection, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Furthermore, they are experts in energy optimisation and the decarbonisation of buildings, including the implementation of heat pump technologies.
Strategic Importance of the Acquisition
The acquisition underlines Apleona’s objective to solidify its market position beyond German borders. The integration of Andersen & Heegaard supports the strategy to expand its role as an integrated facility management service provider in Denmark and other Northern European markets. The expertise in technical services and sustainable building management is considered particularly relevant.

He emphasised that Andersen & Heegaard significantly strengthens the market position, not only in Denmark but also in the wider European context. This fosters local business development and enhances activities with international corporate clients. Michael Engel, COO of the Apleona Group, added that the acquisition would further develop the existing service offering in the Nordic countries.

Through the collaboration with Apleona, Andersen & Heegaard gains a strong international partner for future growth.
