Aroundtown, a leading real estate company in Europe, has leased eight further hotel properties from its German portfolio to Sunday Hotels. This transaction expands the existing partnership between the two companies. The newly leased properties include hotels in Bad Honnef, Bad Boll, Leipzig and Nuremberg, as well as two establishments in Potsdam and one hotel each in Berlin and Lüneburg. All these properties will continue to be managed under the Seminaris brand, a result of the cooperation between Seminaris and Sunday Hotels.

The hotels now operated by Sunday Hotels complement the properties from Aroundtown's portfolio that they already managed. They are characterised by diverse locations and primary uses, covering the city, conference and leisure segments. This diversification reflects the broad orientation of both parties' real estate portfolios.

Strategic Partnership and Portfolio Development

Barak Bar-Hen, CEO of Aroundtown, commented on the significance of this collaboration. He emphasised that for Aroundtown, as the owner, it is essential to cooperate with an operator who recognises and capitalises on the potential of the individual properties. Sunday Hotels brings the necessary operational experience and a versatile brand portfolio to specifically develop the particular strengths of each hotel.

Puneet Yadav, SVP & Head of Hotels, Europe at Sunday & Belvilla Hotels, commented on the expansion of their commitment in Germany. He stated that the new hotels further strengthen their presence in Germany and simultaneously boost the portfolio across different market segments. Guests can rely on continuity in daily hotel operations.

Aroundtown is one of the largest real estate companies in Europe and possesses a diversified portfolio. In addition to office and residential properties, this includes a significant number of hotel properties. The current lease underscores the strategy of optimising the value of its hotel portfolio and securing its presence in key German markets through partnerships with experienced hotel operators.
