Arrow Real Estate Advisors, a capital markets advisory firm, is strengthening its team almost two years after its establishment. The firm, founded by Morris Betesh in autumn 2024, has hired Ari Mandelbaum as Director. Mandelbaum, a former lender at Greystone and Dwight Capital, will drive the expansion of the business segment for arranging debt financing for multifamily properties.
Morris Betesh commented on the new hire: "Ari enriches Arrow with an extremely valuable perspective derived from his extensive experience on the lending side of the business." He highlighted that Mandelbaum's understanding of underwriting, credit, and execution allows him to view financing mandates from both perspectives and offer clients deeper insights during the capital raising process.
Before joining, Mandelbaum held senior positions at Greystone and Dwight Capital. There, he specialised in agency and bridge loans for multifamily properties and other real estate sectors. He was at Greystone from 2011 to 2014 before embarking on a ten-year career at Dwight Capital, where he rose to Executive Vice President.
At Arrow, Mandelbaum will primarily focus on negotiating multifamily loans and helping borrowers navigate alternative strategies. Among the transactions he arranged at Dwight was a $36 million bridge loan in 2023 for Latco Enterprises to refinance the Villa Annette Apartments property in Moreno Valley, California.
Ari Mandelbaum expressed enthusiasm for his new role: "I am excited to join Arrow and work with a team that has a strong track record in the commercial real estate capital markets." He emphasised that his experience on the lending side has given him a direct understanding of how transactions are evaluated, structured, and executed. He looks forward to using this perspective to help Arrow's clients navigate increasingly structured financing environments.
Mandelbaum's appointment follows shortly after the recruitment of Jeff Weinberg, who joined Arrow from Meridian Capital Group as Managing Director. These personnel reinforcements underscore Arrow Real Estate Advisors' growth and strategic focus on expanding its advisory services in the capital markets.
