Jonathon Kelly, the creator of the popular plush toy brand Squishmallows, has put his modern Bel-Air villa on the market for US$37.995 million. This comes just three years after he acquired the property for US$26 million. Kelly, whose company achieved viral success on TikTok with the plush toys, purchased the estate, completed in 2023, as an investment and rented it out rather than residing in it himself.

The three-storey residence, completed in 2022, was designed by architect Zoltan Pali. His contemporary approach combines glass walls with natural stone and warm wood finishes, offering views of the Bel-Air Country Club. The sale is being handled by Marc Noah of Sotheby's International Realty's Beverly Hills Brokerage.

Architecture and Features of the Residence

The villa's private entrance leads into a central hallway, from which a glass and steel staircase and a lift provide access to all three levels of the house. Beyond the staircase, the entrance hall opens onto a courtyard with an olive tree at its centre. Floor-to-ceiling folding glass doors surround the courtyard on three sides, allowing the adjacent rooms to seamlessly extend into the paved outdoor area.

The formal living room features a long, horizontal fireplace embedded in travertine stone, with an arrangement of sofas and chairs positioned in front of it. Adjoining this is the dining area, flanked by a floor-to-ceiling wood-panelled wall. A long dining table sits beneath a cluster of pendant lights. Glass doors at the end of the room open onto an outdoor terrace, expanding the space with views of the Bel-Air Country Club's fourth green.

The kitchen is designed around a long, stone-clad island, with tall wooden cabinets providing a sleek backdrop for integrated appliances. A breakfast nook, situated in an alcove with retractable glass walls, allows the walls to open almost completely to the terrace.

Luxurious Amenities and Outdoor Areas

The Bel-Air villa includes two primary bedroom suites, located on different levels. One suite is on the main level next to the courtyard and offers access to the upper terrace via sliding doors. Its bathroom is clad in light stone and features a long double vanity, a freestanding bathtub, and a glazed shower. The second suite is on the pool level and opens directly onto the pool terrace. Its bathroom is characterised by a warmer colour palette, with a wood-fronted double vanity and a freestanding bathtub.

In addition to the main living areas, the lower level of the house hosts a range of private amenities for entertainment and wellness. These include a bar and media lounge with a long stone counter and a built-in media wall. Floor-to-ceiling doors connect the lounge to the pool terrace. Furthermore, there is a home cinema with multiple rows of generous lounge chairs and a sauna almost entirely clad in warm wood.

A long terrace extends across the entire length of the main level, from the kitchen to the primary suite. It offers various outdoor lounge and dining areas, making the most of the property's elevated position with open views over the Bel-Air Country Club and the city. An outdoor staircase leads from there to the pool level, where the house presents an outdoor kitchen, an infinity pool with a spa, surrounding sunbathing areas, and strips of lawn.
