BEOS AG, a Swiss Life Asset Managers company, has acquired two initial tenants for the so-called "Loftworks" in Düsseldorf's Werft68 quarter. One of the lettings concerns the BFT Group, an engineering, architecture, and general planning company, which will occupy an office space of approximately 710 square metres in the revitalised mixed-use existing building. Another office space was let to an unnamed company.

These contract conclusions mark significant progress in the development of the Werft68 quarter, which is being created on a former industrial site in Düsseldorf-Holthausen. BEOS AG focuses within Swiss Life Asset Managers on the development and management of complex corporate real estate, which is reflected in this project.

The "Loftworks" represent the only existing building with mixed use within the newly developing Werft68 quarter. The building is currently undergoing extensive revitalisation and is intended to house modern working environments, showrooms, and spaces for research and development in the future. The BFT Group plans to design the leased spaces as an open-office concept. The tenant-specific fit-out will be carried out by the landlord, and the BFT Group is scheduled to move in gradually from January 2027. The handover of the second leased space to the respective tenant is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.

Jochen Butz, Head Real Estate Development Light Industrial & Commercial Region Cologne, highlighted the importance of these initial contract conclusions. He emphasised that these not only represent an important milestone for the further development of the Werft68 quarter but also confirm the attractiveness of the underlying concept. These early letting successes contribute to increasing the visibility of the Werft68 project.

The lettings further underscore the ongoing demand for flexibly usable spaces in an environment that combines historical building fabric with contemporary working environments and sustainable quarter development. JLL provided advisory services for the letting of the space to the BFT Group as part of a landlord representation mandate.
