On the liabilities side, the Group's total deposit volume rose by ten per cent during the quarter to 3.5 billion EUR. This development was largely driven by savings deposits, up 17 per cent to 1.8 billion EUR, while term deposits rose by two per cent to 1.65 billion EUR and sight deposits on current accounts grew by 59 per cent to 110 million EUR.

At the same time, the bank's credit quality improved. Net risk provisions for expected losses fell by 0.3 million EUR year on year to 2.2 million EUR. Credit quality in mortgage lending remained at a very high level.
Real estate holdings and capital measures
The carrying amount of the investment property portfolio remained unchanged at 81.0 million EUR. No revaluations were carried out in the third quarter. Income from the letting of commercial property and the leasing of agricultural land proved stable. To support operational growth, headcount increased by 29 employees to 741 people, resulting in personnel expenses of 10.8 million EUR.
To underpin its expansion strategy, the institution issued Additional Tier 1 bonds with a volume of 17.23 million EUR. In total, 1,723 notes with a nominal value of 10,000 EUR each were placed with 83 investors. Martin Länts, Chairman of the Management Board of Bigbank AS, stated that the institution purposefully expanded its offering in the third quarter and, through the issuance of additional core capital, established the balance sheet prerequisites to continue its growth path.
