The Düsseldorf-based company bkp, which provides interdisciplinary services in architecture, interior design, and consulting, has opened a new office in Frankfurt am Main. This expansion marks a consistent continuation of its growth trajectory and strengthens its presence in the Rhine-Main region.
The Frankfurt office will be led by Isabell Battenfeld, an architect (M.Sc.) and sustainability coordinator. Ms. Battenfeld joined bkp in May 2025 and brings extensive experience to her new role. The new location will focus on supporting regional clients and developing projects in this economically dynamic environment.
Expertise and Strategic Direction
Isabell Battenfeld has more than ten years of experience in the conception, planning, and implementation of architectural projects. Her expertise also includes establishing and managing her own structures. Before joining bkp, she founded and managed her own office, ISABELL BATTENFELD ARCHITECTS, with locations in Cologne and Marburg. There, she was responsible for projects across all service phases, including private, commercial, and public construction ventures.
Her academic background includes studying architecture at TU Darmstadt and RWTH Aachen. Furthermore, she was involved in curatorial activities, including the lecture series “Architektur im Aufbruch” (Architecture in Transition). This series addressed radically sustainable, space- and resource-efficient architectural solutions, as well as aspects of affordable building.
