The Bosch Home Comfort Group and Modularis GmbH have agreed on a strategic cooperation for heat supply in housing construction. As part of this collaboration, Bosch will in future equip the energy centres and energy boxes developed and manufactured by Modularis with its own indoor and outdoor heat pump units. The aim of the partnership is to provide a coordinated overall system designed specifically for multi-family buildings and larger structural units.
Prefabricated energy centres for existing and new buildings
The Modularis Energy Box is a prefabricated, turnkey system solution. The compact unit covers space heating and domestic hot water supply, and also includes complete control technology. The technology is designed for properties starting from four residential units up to neighbourhood-scale developments.
A key feature of the concept lies in its installation characteristics: connection is carried out according to a plug-and-play principle within a few days. As no work inside the building is required, the installation can also take place while the property remains occupied. Qualified installers can carry out the assembly without additional specialist knowledge.
Cost-effectiveness and target groups of the cooperation
Tino Hirsch, Head of Marketing and Sales Germany at Bosch Home Comfort, emphasised that alongside high performance, heat pumps must ensure simple installation and cost-effective operation. He noted that the joint solution delivers measurable benefits for installation contractors and the real estate sector across the entire life cycle of the system.
Christoph Ulland, Managing Director of Modularis GmbH, stressed the advantages of combining a turnkey system concept with established equipment technology. He stated that the housing industry is thereby provided with a reliable, subsidy-eligible solution from a single source.
The standardised offering is aimed at a wide spectrum of market participants across new build and refurbishment projects:
- —Housing companies and institutional owners
- —Property managers with refurbishment requirements in existing stock
- —Developers and investors of larger residential construction projects
- —Specialist HVAC trade contractors
