Caverion Deutschland GmbH is further expanding its market presence in building services engineering. The company is acquiring WISAG Automatisierungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG (WAT) from the WISAG Group. The transaction marks the largest acquisition in the history of Caverion Deutschland to date. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Completion of the transaction is scheduled for the turn of the year and remains subject to antitrust clearance by the Federal Cartel Office.
Nationwide presence and technological service spectrum
Active since 1988, WISAG Automatisierungstechnik specialises in measurement, control, and regulation technology solutions for buildings. With most recent annual turnover of around EUR 27 million, the company is an established player in the sector. Across seven locations nationwide, the specialists employ a total of 168 staff who cover the entire lifecycle of building services systems from design to operation.
- —Planning and installation of modern building automation systems
- —Implementation of building control technology and energy management systems
- —Technical service and maintenance via a 24/7 on-call service
Staff continuity will be maintained for WAT clients and partners. Jörg Friese, Head of WISAG Automatisierungstechnik, emphasised that familiar contact persons will remain in place. He noted that in Caverion, the company had found an owner with proven technical expertise that is committed to building automation as a strategic long-term growth area.
Continuation of inorganic growth trajectory
For Caverion Deutschland, the acquisition follows a clear strategic direction. The company had previously integrated Schulz Lufttechnik in 2025, followed by both S&A Schaltanlagenbau and KEES Klima- und Kältetechnik in 2026. The building automation business is gaining significant momentum in light of stricter energy efficiency mandates, advancing decarbonisation, and growing modernisation needs across the existing building stock.
Manfred Simmet, Managing Director of Caverion Deutschland GmbH, explained that building automation now plays a decisive role in how efficiently and sustainably a property operates. Alongside ease of operation, an effective service team is crucial for clients. With the takeover of WISAG Automatisierungstechnik, Caverion gains proprietary product and solution expertise as well as many years of market experience.
