CoRE Solutions GmbH, a company specialising in real estate leasing and comparable financing models, has appointed Jan Schilling as its new Head of Structured Finance. Schilling will be responsible for the development and implementation of innovative refinancing solutions, complementing the established senior refinancings of real estate leasing. This also includes further strengthening the existing involvement in projects that utilise a combination of classical real estate leasing and mezzanine capital from external investors.

A key area of responsibility for Jan Schilling will be the acquisition of new business in classical real estate leasing. His expertise is expected to contribute to opening up new market potentials and consolidating the company's position. The strategic realignment in this area is a response to changing requirements in the financing market.

Strategic Expansion of Financing Options

Klaus Busch, Managing Director of CoRE Solutions, stated that continuous development and adaptation to new market conditions are essential. He emphasised that the previously common one hundred per cent bank refinancings in real estate leasing are no longer the norm. For the future, it is crucial to enable access to mezzanine capital to close potential financing gaps in the realisation of projects. Busch sees Jan Schilling, due to his comprehensive expertise, as the ideal candidate to develop such financing solutions for CoRE Solutions.

Jan Schilling explained that companies currently need to invest more in transformation processes. CoRE Solutions' solutions in the area of corporate real estate serve to allow companies to focus on their core business and secure full control over the respective location. Furthermore, investors are offered a bond-like, real estate-backed investment opportunity. He referred to increasing demand for these models and expressed his anticipation of actively expanding the connections between entrepreneurs and investors as a “bridge-builder”.

Professional Background and Qualifications

Previously, Schilling worked for almost 15 years at LHI Leasing GmbH, most recently as Head of Structured Finance. In this role, he was responsible for structuring complex transactions and was active in the acquisition and support of key clients. Schilling holds a degree as a qualified engineer, a Master of Real Estate Management from TU München and is a certified real estate analyst from the IREBS Institut.
