Cureus, a specialised portfolio holder and developer of inpatient care properties, has announced the completion of the compassio senior residence Haus Tuzzo. The property, located at Tauernstraße 14 in Wiesbaden's Dotzheim district, has been handed over to operating partner compassio. This step complements the handover of the assisted living section, which already took place at the end of June.
Olaf Joop Projektbau GmbH from Faßberg was responsible for the construction work as the general contractor. Cureus project manager, Antonia Bonz, expressed her delight at the provision of urgently needed care capacities in Wiesbaden and its surroundings, built to the latest standards and featuring appealing architecture. The handover of the site was delayed by approximately six months.
Sustainability and infrastructure expansion
The delay resulted from the decision to integrate new energy requirements after planning was complete and before the start of the superstructure construction. These adjustments to the construction were made to meet sustainable criteria. Ms Bonz highlighted that the new senior residence provides the Dotzheim district with a valuable extension of its social infrastructure and has created a place of well-being that blends into its surroundings with views over Wiesbaden. Compassio was secured as an experienced and renowned operator for the site, known for individual care and support.
Start of operations and range of services
Julia Glöggler, Ramp Up Manager at compassio, emphasised that Haus Tuzzo is the company's first location in the Hesse/Wiesbaden region. She explained that the company will offer highly sought-after places for high-quality long-term and short-term care, as well as assisted living, as it does at its more than 100 other locations in Germany. A starter team of qualified employees has already been recruited for this new site. The first assisted living tenants were welcomed in July, and the residents for inpatient care will follow shortly.
Occupancy will be built up gradually. Applications from residents and employee applications are still welcome. Ms Glöggler underscored the importance of appreciation and a modern working environment for the team to successfully implement the high standards in care and support.
