Design firm Décor Global, which specialises in apparel, accessories, and their manufacturing, has concluded a lease agreement for 6,973 square feet at 231 West 39th Street. This is according to information from Commercial Observer. The 12-storey office building is owned by LLC 231/249 West 39 Street Associates and is a prominent address in Manhattan's Garment District.
Décor Global intends to use the newly leased premises for both office purposes and as a showroom for wholesale apparel sales. This was announced by the landlord's broker and building manager, Adams & Company. The exact term of the lease was not disclosed; the agreed rent was US$39 per square foot.
Attractive Location in the Heart of Midtown
Jeff Buslik, Executive Managing Director at Adams & Company, who represented the landlord in this transaction, commented on the new lease. According to him, 231 West 39th Street continues to attract companies requiring spaces tailored to their specific business operations. The building's traditional Midtown architecture, combined with a dense presence of showrooms and direct access to major transport links as well as local amenities, qualifies it as a sought-after location for tenants in the fashion and design sectors.
Décor Global maintains offices worldwide, including in metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Barcelona. The company's current New York address, according to its website, is 499 Seventh Avenue, just a five-minute walk from the new office. A precise date for Décor Global's relocation was not announced. The tenant was represented by Michael Bolton of MBRE Advisors.
