Two prominent development projects, "Vier Giebel" in Stuttgart and "Park Trio Stadtplatz" in Frankfurt am Main, have successfully received certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). The formal presentation of the certificates took place on Monday, 5 October 2026, during the Expo Real property fair in Munich, a central industry event.

Both properties were evaluated according to the comprehensive DGNB system. This system assesses projects based on a multi-layered catalogue of criteria that extends beyond purely ecological aspects. It encompasses ecology, economy, socio-cultural and functional quality, technical execution, processes during development, and site quality. This holistic approach ensures an evaluation of sustainability across a building's entire life cycle.

Stuttgart's "Vier Giebel" and Frankfurt's "Park Trio Stadtplatz" recognised

The "Vier Giebel" project in Stuttgart is characterised by its central location and a mixed-use concept that integrates residential, office, and hospitality spaces. Its architecture is designed to create a significant urban accent. In Frankfurt am Main, "Park Trio Stadtplatz" is an integral part of the "Park Trio" district development in the Rebstock area. A total of 143 rental apartments were realised on the specific "Stadtplatz" construction site, supplemented by spaces for hospitality and commercial use.

Marco Knopp, spokesperson for the management board of LBBW Immobilien, emphasised in this context the increasing importance of sustainability aspects in project development. He stated that ecological criteria are no longer optional additions today, but rather fundamental requirements for contemporary and marketable properties. According to him, DGNB certification makes a project's quality transparent and comprehensible through clearly defined framework conditions. He interprets the simultaneous recognition of two of the company's projects as substantial confirmation of the work of the teams and partners involved.

The choice of Expo Real as the venue for the certificate presentation underscored the relevance of these accolades within the real estate sector. This platform offered an appropriate setting to duly acknowledge the achievements of the project managers and the efficient collaboration of all parties involved in the development processes.
