As part of its ordinary general meeting on 25 June 2026, DVFA German Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management made important decisions regarding the composition of its governing bodies. Both the Board of Directors and the Ombuds Council were newly constituted. A significant change was the addition of three new members to the Board of Directors.
The Executive Board continued with the confirmation of Thorsten Müller, Lighthouse Corporate Finance GmbH, Ingo R. Mainert, Allianz Global Investors GmbH, and Roger Peeters, pfp Advisory GmbH, in their positions. Thorsten Müller assumes the chair, while Ingo R. Mainert and Roger Peeters serve as deputy chairs. This constellation is intended to ensure the strategic direction of the association in the coming periods.
In the elections for the Specialist Board, three new individuals were appointed to this body: Katrin Lieber-Braun from DWS International GmbH, Volker Sack from Deutsches Analyse Netzwerk AG, and Bernd Schröder from Union Investment Privatfonds GmbH. These new additions complement the existing team, which also includes re-elected members such as Prof. Dr. Sven Bienert from the University of Regensburg, Peter Thilo Hasler from Sphene Capital GmbH, Michael Schmidt, and Ingo Speich from Deka Investment GmbH.
At the same time, two long-serving board members are stepping down: Prof. Dr. Christina E. Bannier, Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, will contribute her expertise as an advisory board member in the future, having not sought re-election at her own request. Frank Klein from DWS International GmbH also did not stand for re-election. Thorsten Müller acknowledged the commitment of both departing members and particularly highlighted the merits of Frank Klein, who significantly shaped the association for over 18 years – eight of which were on the Executive Board – and also represented it in international bodies.
The DVFA Ombuds Council will henceforth be chaired by Michael Schubert from Deutsches Analyse Netzwerk AG. Dr. Jürgen Callies from MEAG MUNICH ERGO AssetManagement GmbH was elected as deputy chair, and Dr. Lars Slomka from Hansen & Heinrich AG was appointed as an assessor. The positions of alternate members will be filled by Dr. Hans-Dieter Klein from Street Alpha GmbH and Felix K. Adrian from fa Finanzanalyse. All five elected individuals were previously active in the Ombuds Council, which ensures continuity in this important function.
