Essen-based brokerage firm Brockhoff GmbH has successfully brokered the office property at Schederhofstraße 45 in Essen to the technical association vgbe energy e.V. The building comprises around 3,500 square metres of office space and will serve as the international association's new permanent headquarters in the Ruhr region.
The transaction was preceded by a shift in requirements and decision-making. Originally, the association intended to lease suitable office space to accommodate future space requirements. In the course of sounding out the market, however, the specific characteristics of the property on Schederhofstraße prompted the leadership to adjust their strategic direction and acquire the building outright for their own portfolio.

The buyer is an internationally active technical association within the energy sector. The organisation primarily supports its members through technical expertise, sound knowledge exchange, and the development of standards and technical solutions for a reliable and sustainable energy supply.
