The First Choice Business Center Wiesbaden is involved as a sponsor of this year's StartAward Wiesbaden 2026. The regional start-up competition concluded with the award ceremony on 27 October. With around 100 applications, the event set a new record for participation and highlighted the sustained momentum in the economic environment of the Hessian state capital.

The award is organised in cooperation with the City of Wiesbaden and other partners. In addition to financial prize money, the participating start-up initiatives benefit from public visibility and access to established regional business networks through the format. This year, the competition comprised three distinct award categories.

  • —Category 'Gründen in Wiesbaden' for young companies with market maturity
  • —Category 'Ready to go' for start-up concepts emerging from higher education
  • —Special award 'Female Founders' for the targeted promotion of female entrepreneurs

Flexible office structures as a foundation for young companies

For the First Choice Business Center, a brand of the Sirius Group, supporting the start-up prize serves as a link between the property sector and young market players. Victoria Ahmadi, Sales Manager at the company, attended the award ceremony on site. She emphasised the strong innovative power and entrepreneurial spirit in the region, pointing out that her company aims to provide the specific workspaces and framework conditions required by growth-oriented businesses throughout their developmental phases.

At its operational Wiesbaden location at Mainzer Straße 75, the operator provides a spectrum of flexible working environments. The offering comprises fully furnished individual and team offices, open co-working spaces, and modular seminar and conference rooms. This real estate infrastructure is complemented by flexible contract terms and services that enable start-ups to adapt space capacities to their company size as required.

Significance for the regional business location

The combination of start-up support and needs-based space provision is considered an essential factor for the region's economic profile. By initiating the competition, Wiesbaden has established a platform that fosters ongoing dialogue between start-ups, commercial SMEs, and institutional partners. Viable new businesses strengthen the diversification of the commercial market and secure the long-term competitiveness of the business location.
